An all-electric Ford Puma is set to debut by the end of the year. The EV version, known as the Ford Puma “Gen-E”, will be priced under $40,000 and positioned in Ford’s EU electric vehicle lineup below models like the Mustang Mach-E and Explorer Electric.
Ford’s decision to electrify the best-selling UK car, the Puma, highlights the brand’s commitment to sustainable mobility. The new Puma EV will feature unique elements to set it apart from its gas-powered counterpart, including new badging, headlights, a closed grille, and a redesigned front bumper.
Equipped with advanced technology like a 12.8” digital display and SYNC 4 connectivity, the Puma EV promises to offer a cutting-edge driving experience. Powertrain options are expected to include a 134 hp electric motor and a 50-60 kWh battery for a range of at least 250 miles.
With the introduction of the Puma EV and the recent unveiling of the Capri EV, Ford aims to strengthen its presence in the electric vehicle market and appeal to a wider audience in Europe.
