A presentation of the Tesla Cybertruck in Germany was disrupted by climate activists who vandalized the electric pickup truck. In the US, Cybertrucks are targeted by Elon haters, while in Europe it is climate activists who are damaging the electric vehicle. Despite the surprising nature of this, Tesla has faced numerous challenges from environmental activists in Europe, particularly in Germany.
A group of environmental activists has been actively opposing Tesla's Gigafactory Berlin for years, and more recently, they even occupied the forest where Tesla planned to expand the plant. These extremists are opposed to all personal vehicles, electric or not, and they specifically targeted the Cybertruck for various reasons. Although the Cybertruck is not yet available in Europe, Tesla has been showcasing it in the region for the past few months.
During a presentation in Hamburg, climate activists interrupted the event and threw paint on the Cybertruck. One activist criticized the vehicle's weight and energy consumption, labeling it as a senseless waste that society cannot afford.
Despite the incident, Tesla quickly cleaned the truck and continued its promotional activities in Germany.
