Tesla Cybertruck Reservations: What's Next for Tesla?

Tesla is quickly working through its massive backlog of over 1 million Cybertruck reservations by inviting select customers to configure their orders. Despite initial skepticism over the Cybertruck's design, Tesla managed to secure a significant number of reservations following its unveiling.

However, some reservations may not translate into actual sales as Tesla reduced the deposit amount to just $100, making it easier for people to reserve a spot. Additionally, the production version of the Cybertruck offered a lower range at a higher price, potentially dissuading some reservation holders.

Currently, Tesla is only selling a high-end version of the Cybertruck known as the 'Foundation Series,' priced at $100,000. While the majority of buyers expressed interest in this model, Tesla is facing challenges in finding new buyers for the Foundation Series.

Despite having over 1 million reservations, Tesla has sold a relatively small number of Cybertrucks, prompting the company to reach out to reservation holders to convert their reservations into orders. Moving forward, Tesla plans to expand its Cybertruck lineup beyond the Foundation Series.
