US electric vehicle (EV) registrations in July 2024 increased by 18% year-over-year, with several models offering significant discounts to drive growth. Kia's new EV9 led the pack with incentives over $19,700, while Honda Prologue and Volkswagen ID.4 also saw substantial discounts.
In total, 118,273 new EVs were registered in the US, accounting for 8.5% of the light vehicle market. Tesla maintained its market dominance with a 48% share of registrations, while other brands like Hyundai, Ford, and GM also saw notable increases in registrations.
